WHAT ARE UNDA REMEDIES?

First of all, they are homeopathic remedies, in X (tenth) potencies and come in drops.

The name Unda is Latin for “wave”, which refers to the undulating water waves that carry subtle medicinal information.

THE ORIGIN

Biotherapeutic Drainage  began in France in the early 1900’s with the work of Dr. Antoine Nebel. It was further codified into a system by George Discri and Dr. Louis Reuter in the 1920’s and 30’s. The approach involves a process of detoxifying the body through opening the emunctories (organs of elimination) and excreting toxic accumulations. It differs from  “detoxing” in that it works intra-cellularly as well as extra-cellularly, thereby restoring optimal cellular function.

The mineral aspect of the remedy is present to aid in the biochemical reactions our bodies employ for detoxification, and the plant aspect leads the mineral to the intended tissue or organ system.

Each cell in the body functions like an individual ecosystem.  The Unda compounds are formulated with groups of plant and mineral remedies that have an affinity for certain organs. For example, the plant Chelidonium Majus has an affinity for the liver whereas the plant Cratageus Oxycantha has an affinity for the heart and cardiovascular system. The plants also possess unique characteristics in terms of the way they affect an organ or organ system. For example some plants may have a stimulating action whereas others will calm or sedate an organ’s function.

WHY AND WHEN TO USE UNDA REMEDIES?

Detoxing is a bit part of healing, particularly in conditions like autism, ADHD and other chronic conditions where the natural detoxing pathways are impaired for whatever reason.

Many patients with these issues are also incredibly sensitive to any intervention: even the gentlest potency can aggravate, therefore detoxing protocols like CEASE or bowel nosodes and others are out of the question.
