CAN YOU TAKE HOMEOPATHY WHILE ON MEDICATION? A CASE OF EPILEPSY

IS HOMEOPATHY EQUALLY EFFECTIVE WHILE ON MEDICATION? A CASE OF EPILEPSY

This is a bone of contention among homeopaths: I know some homeopaths who will not take patients, while they are taking pharmaceutical drugs.

They have a point: pharma drugs carry side effects; side effects muddy the case picture and some homeopaths say that remedies don’t have a chance to break through the drugs barrier, so there is no point.

My problem is: I am not qualified to tell people to stop or change their drug prescription. Plus: how many people are totally “clean” from pharma these days?

So I still try.

One ongoing case of mine gives me hope that we can still work through the drugs: a young girl with diagnosis of ASD and epilepsy. The drug levetiracetam is prescribed to stop the fits. The side effects are, among others: OCD, aggressive behaviour, dizziness and headaches.

The mother came to me to help with all the above symptoms. We tried a few remedies with no success. I came to believe that, if those symptoms belonged to the medication and not to the patient, I could not help with homeopathy.

This is when combination remedies really shine.

Today, the mother reported:

no more dizziness or headaches

much less OCD

reduced aggressive behaviour
