NEW RESEARCH SUGGESTS EMOTIONAL BALANCE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR TOOTHBRUSH
Homeopathy can help with dental health and I have articles on this website that talk about tissue salts and homeopathic remedies for various dental issues.
Recently, however, I came across a book by an experienced dental doctor: Teeth don’t lie, by Dr. Dorte Bredgaard.
Her research of many years comes to some radical conclusions: mainly the fact that sugar and nutrition have little or nothing to do with cavities and even brushing your teeth is not a deciding factor in your dental health.
Now: I am not going to throw away my brand new electric toothbrush and stop flossing just yet.
However, I find her theory fascinating for a few reasons:
-we all know people who do everything by the book when it comes to dental hygiene and yet get cavities and infections more than average.
-I see many children with cavities, despite having a clean diet, while their siblings sometimes have perfectly fine teeth.
-conversely, we all know people who eat and drink what they want and don’t even brush more than once a day and have perfect teeth.
The only explanation from professional dentists is:”Luck of the draw” or “Patients lie”.
Energy is the key
Homeopathy recognises that everything is vibrational energy and we get ill, the dis-ease starts from our energy field before reaching our body. This is why homeopaths pay so much attention to the emotional and mental state of the patient and even conventional medicine recognises the importance of stress, for example, when it comes to physical conditions.
This principle is not applied to dentistry, however. Even homeopathic dentists don’t talk about emotions when it comes to cavities or gum disease.
According to this Danish doctor, most people experience dental problems when they are not aligned with who they are. In particular, she talks about women who suppress their emotions or don’t speak their mind.
Teeth have their own “intelligence” and when children start teething, the teeth come out in a particular order for a reason. For example: the canines come out at the time when the child starts to be aware of her will-power, which is usually the time of the “terrible twos”.
With teeth come responsability and perhaps life changes in the life of a child, who might be more shy or sensitive than his or her siblings and this might explain the little children I see with early cavities, when the mother cannot explain the cause, as her other children are find and they all have the same diet!
This is definitely an interesting theory that I will explore more in time.
